After being born as human, the first thing we learn without anyone teaching us is saying “NO”. To new habits & things when we start to learn them for the first time.
Can you recall how many times you have started a new habit and then failed miserably over the years after multiple attempts?. This is not just you ! This happens to each and everyone, Including me.
Ever wondered WHY?.
1.It’s because we are resistant towards growth and change :
Yes, We become so comfortable with what we have that we don't even realize that we have become lazy & start living your life instead of celebrating life.
2. You need the right teacher/mentor/ Guru :
Yes, you heard me right. When you wish to gain mastery over a particular skill you have to spend a considerable amount of time with the teacher or mentor or guru. Skills can be learnt watching online line videos but there is no Grace. Without grace we are nothing but living dead bodies
3.Discipline :
There are of 2 types :
a. Enforced discipline - I force you to wake up & come to yoga
b. Self discipline - You wake up because you want to keep yourself mentally & physically fit.
Majority will lack in the latter. Self discipline needs years and years of enforced discipline which comes from the teacher or Guru or Mentor. All the knowledge needed is just a few clicks away but you need a physical person to bring those words to life.
Only when you hear these words from the person who has lived the life that you seek only then will you enjoy being self disciplined.
4.Patience :
“Common sense is highly uncommon these days” said a great sage. These days, Patience is a result of a lack of common sense. Getting hooked to this & instant makes people more anxious & tense. It doesn't matter how bright the sunlight is, you have let the flower blossom at its own pace.
You do not have patience because you have lost trust in yourself. We call this “Shraddha” in Yoga. Unshakable faith in oneself. You can reach here only when you have realized the true purpose of your birth.
When you are firmly established in all the above Failure will never dare touch you. Agree?.
